Technical Communicatoons Manager needed for Palmetto, FL! SUMMARY: Coordinates communications messages in all interfaces between Company and its distributors, its customers, its employees, and the general public. Encourages communications consistency, in both form and content, while improving the perception of transparency. Responsible for ensuring that inappropriate or confidential materials are not transmitted outside of the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Customer Communications - Create an annual customer communications plan. Enhance customer communications with the goal to improving customers? perceptions of the firm and its products. Create a cohesive a message about the firm and its products using newsletters, emails, the company website, press releases, mailings, and other channels. Product Customer Documentation - Plan and array resources to maintain good quality customer documentation for all products sold by Company. These materials include user manuals, installation manuals, release notes, help systems, and any other materials appropriate to the product. Ensure that these materials follow the branding, trademark, and appearance standards of the firm. Branding - Document branding standards, ensure that the standards are disseminated to all employees, and encourage their use. Improve the consistency of branding in all locations: internal and external documents, email communications, ads, brochures, websites, trade shows, software interfaces, product appearance, clothing, and promotional materials. Company Web Presence - Manage the presence of the company on the Internet. Enhance the capabilities of the company web presence. Improve the quality and timeliness of information provided to the general public on the public site, and to our distributors on their private portions of the site. Plan and maintain our web domain presence. Optimize search results leading to our web presence. Function as the conduit for updated materials on the web site(s), or alternatively, provide tools to allow employees to update materials themselves. Trademarks/Copyright Management - Manage the company?s trademark portfolio. Request registration for new products where trade marking is appropriate. Manage renewal of existing trademarks. Product Brochures - Plan, write, edit, and maintain product brochures for Company products. Work with design consultants, outsource bureaus, printing houses and any other resources required to keep product marketing materials in stock and available for sales staff, distributors, and customers. Document Appearance Standards - Create document templates and style guides, and promote their use. Press Release/Ad Coordination - Work with the sales team and the firm?s advertising and marketing service partner to create a consistent, appealing message about the company. Work to improve message timing, consistency and effectiveness. Assist in text and content creation, including graphics and photography. Employee Communications - Work to enhance two-way communications between the firm?s management team and the employees. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job will be responsible for supervising the technical writing, copy writing, graphic designing, and photographing personnel hired by the company, or any contract workers hired to perform those functions. This will include job assignment, scheduling, ensuring work quality, performing annual performance reviews, and managing salaries, as well as a Communications budget.
