An award-winning global provider of Financial Trading and Risk Management software and services urgently require a Technical Consultant to join their London based team immediately. This prestigious organisation boasts top-tier clients within the banking, hedge fund, and general buy-side firms.
The successful Technical Consultant will join my client's plush London offices, reporting directly to the Director of Professional Services, and will get the chance to work on exciting new products and projects. Basic salary up to £75,000 for the right candidate - plus excellent benefits and opportunity for EU travel when necessary.
The role of the successful technical Consultant -(Oracle, Java, J2EE, Risk, SQL, London) will include but is not limited to:
- Leading workshops to identify and document client technical requirements
- Being involved in client facing technical project work to implement the organisation's various products
- Providing client IT team with technical training
- Supporting clients and resolving issues during client testing
- Pre-sales meetings project/task estimation

In order to be considered for the role of the Technical Consultant, the following is essential:
- A degree-level education in Computer Science or related
- 5+ years' experience of Java/J2EE and Oracle/MS SQL
- Knowledge of LDAP, JMS, Camel, JBoss, UNIX and MQ Series
- Capital Markets knowledge/experience
- Impeccable communication skills due to the client facing nature of the role
