Within assigned district the Technical Consultant is responsible for augmenting sales efforts by providing pre-sales technical, products, and applications assistance to the customer on-site as well as via telephone, primarily for the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture products.

Individual coordinates and expedites resolution of key technical issues in assigned geography (recalls, quality issues, etc.) and is responsible for providing ongoing support to sales engineers and distributors to retain existing business.

This individual will participate in pre-sales applications and problem solving with regards to spec reviews, take-offs, and product selection and preparing proof of concept demos, local product launches, seminars and marketing activities.

Essential Functions:

1. Responsible for conducting customer demonstrations involving simulations/proof-of-concept and seminar assistance.

2. Responsible for keeping the sales force and Solution Architects up to date on new products and customer contacts made and the resolution of any applications problems.

3. Provides ongoing support to sales engineers and distributors to retain existing business.

4. Provides emergency and crisis management assistance. Coordinate and expedite resolution of key technical issues in assigned district. (Recalls, Quality issues, etc.).

5. Ensures thorough familiarity with policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct and trains and motivates subordinates in the importance of full compliance with the letter and spirit of such policies and procedures.

6. Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state/federal laws) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field.

• Minimum two more years of experience in design, manufacturing or applications of industrial automation equipment, personal computers and various computer operations systems.
