Technical Consultant Job in Northern, Virginia US
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Consultant to join my client's rapidly expanding business in a customer facing role, aimed at providing customers with an expert resource.
Primary responsibilities:
·Capture and specify customer requirements
·Produce detailed design documentation for data interfaces, reports, rules and custom software extensions
·Estimate the effort required to develop data interfaces, reports, rules and custom software extensions
·Deliver, install, and configure company products
·Create scripts for data loading using Pentaho and other ETL tools
·Develop and test proprietary Analytics (Java)
·Develop, test, custom software extension to the platform
Necessary Qualifications:
· 5+ years Engineering or Technical Consultant experience
· Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/ or similar
· Understanding Oracle, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, PL/SQL, Shell scripts, JBoss, Apache and LDAP
· Understanding of common industry tools including: Forsk Atoll, Tektronix Geoprobe, TEM Investigation/Visualization, AriesoGEO, Schema, Nemo, etc.
· Understanding of the Telecommunications domain
