Technical Consultant recruitment
As Technical Consultant you will be working with clients of the SWIFT Access Service to deliver services on a general and ad-hoc basis providing delivery support and Service Bureau for new implementation. There is a range of approximately 90 clients for general maintenance.
The primary purpose of this position is the delivery of consultancy services to key accounts. This opportunity requires considerable SWIFT experience from an individual that has been exposed to several different installations of SWIFT in a number of different banking environments. You will also need to be certified in Windows, Unix Operating System and System Administration and it would also be beneficial for individuals to have previous experience in 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support. In addition to strong customer facing experience of working in a consultative environment.
Ideally you will also have direct experience from a financial software house and/or be in an application implementation or 3rd level support role. As well as having knowledge and understanding of the financial organisations and markets. It would also be beneficial to be certified by SWIFT as part of the SWIFT Ready Services Programme.
Essential Skills/Experience:
*SWIFT Alliance interface suite (administration implementation level)
*SWIFTNet FIN Operational and Messaging knowledge
*Operating System Knowledge - Solaris, AIX Microsoft Windows (administration/implementation level)
*Networks and TCP/IP knowledge
Desirable Skills/Experience (in order of importance):
*CREST (via SWIFT) (administration/implementation level)
*IBM WebSphere MQ (administration and implementation level)
*Project Management experience
*Middleware and integration experience
*Back office systems knowledge
