Technical Delivery Manager recruitment
Client Data IT is responsible for maintenance, collection and distribution of client and account data, including on-boarding, client review, KYC and account opening for the Investment Bank.
The department is also responsible for the development of Legal Entity Reference Data, Legal Hierarchy and Risk Hierarchy for the entire UBS Group via the Enterprise Client Data Programme (ECDP).
ECDP is a high profile, multi year, strategic initiative, being sponsored by the Global Executive Board for UBS AG. The objective is to address the quality and control issues which impact all businesses and regions involved in Client static data management and the scope of the change program will extend to organization, processes systems. One demonstrable result will be to provide a holistic single view of client data across the Group. The programme runs in close partnership with the Credit Market Risk and Finance functions.
As the successful candidate, you as Delivery Manager will be responsible for managing an ECDP development team consisting of UBS permanent, UBS Contract and Outsource / Offshore Vendor resources for the end to end delivery of projects to meet the needs of business users such as Risk, Finance, Operations and Compliance.
Core responsibilities of the role include:
• End to end responsibility for the development team and delivery of projects to production across all lifecycle phases with the exception of Inception Analysis which is performed by an Operations Business Change Function
• Day to Day Technical Management of the development teams both onsite and offshore
• Primary Interface to the Business Analysis team and other key stakeholders
• Primary Interface to other Technical Functions that are dependent upon Legal Entity Reference Data
• Working with the CTO Function to ensure solutions are architecture compliant
• Working with the Global Service Delivery Teams to ensure solutions meet
• Responsible for Project Management including working with the QA Functions to ensure applications are thoroughly tested before deployment
• Other ad-hoc administration tasks attributed with Technical Application Ownership such as auditing, healthchecks
• Some budget management and financial modelling will be required
As the ideal candidate you have the following:
• Delivery Management Experience of Medium to Large Projects with a budget in excess of $1m
• Experience building GUI based application in Java / J2EE
• Experience building Master Data Management and ETL Projects Exposure to Informatica / Siperian / Ab Initio Solutions highly desirable
• Strong Database Experience – Oracle 10g/11g
• Client facing experience
• Ability to ‘own’ and manage significant development projects end to end
• Credibility, leadership and strong communication skills
• Knowledge of all elements of IT development and project lifecycles – from project planning and requirements gathering, through all aspects of development, to the ongoing support of the production application
• Experience managing Outsource and Offshore Development Teams
• Experience of Agile Development Practices
