TECHNICAL ENGINEER

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Collection of new vehicle project information and developing understanding of customer expectation and specifications for product
· New product planning and scheduling
· Performing research for new material and product
· Coordinating design efforts, timing and changes with customer, parent company engineers, technical center and the company
· Using customer part specifications to develop part testing requirements and set up testing
· Working closely with new model team on future design efforts and with activities for new customer model activity
· Coordinating Value Analysis / Value Engineering for company products
· Creating Bills of Materials (BOM’s) to assist company parts control system
· Addressing all quality concerns for pre-production parts
· Facilitating drawing review meetings with cross-departmental representatives
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology
· Several years of NVH design experience preferred
· Ability to organize tasks, manage deadlines and coordinate information with several departments
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
· Ability to read and interpret drawings – understanding GDT, symbols, etc.
· Working knowledge of CATIA Version 5 and UG NX7.5 desirable
· Ability to travel, sometimes on short notice (approximately 20 – 25%)
