Technical Engineer (VoIP) Job in London, London UK

Great Opportunity to join a world class telecommunications company as a Technical Engineer to join the existing team of Engineers.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Design, implement and manage Card – VoIP and MVNO – VoIP networks;

·         Maintain all network IP definitions, configuration;

·         Maintain and upgrade all network devices, LAN switches, Firewalls’, SBC's, servers, and Production Network;

·         Implement and maintain various MVNO services including SMS, OTA, number-porting tables;

·         Design, implement and manage Network Monitoring System, including scripting for non-SNMP features (using CACTI);

·         Design, implement and manage all Network Security aspects of the IT, Card-VoIP and MVNO-VoIP networks;

·         SBC maintenance, including upgrading SBC code, Housekeeping, Scripting (Linux Perl);

·         Maintaining RSM routing, creating usable tables for downloading to RSM, modifying tables to ensure correct reporting;

·         Troubleshooting all network issues, core and edge;

·         Third line support to IT engineer; and

 

Person Specification

·         Experienced VoIP Engineer, IP Architect and Network Security Experience;

·         Appropriately Qualified with a good understanding of the “services business” in a pressured high tech environment from a supplier or operator point of view;

·         Minimum 5 years experience in a similar function is required;

·         Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolutions to problems;

·         Experience of working with Nextone and Sonicwall;

·         Strong verbal and written communications are essential;

·         Must be service orientated upholding professionalism at all times and believe in teamwork, collaboration, adaptability and initiative; and

·         Be flexible as shift work maybe required from time to time.
