Position Description We are currently seeking an Implementation/Support Engineer to fill a vital role in supporting the health care industry in adopting and designing their real-time enterprise patient care and quality metric information products. The Implementation/Support Engineer will work as a cross-functional team member of the Operations organization to fulfill roles in both the Implementation and Service departments. The individual that fills this position will participate in frequent customer interaction and must possess excellent communication skills. Specific responsibilities of this position include: -Develop software solutions to manage clinical, customer workflow -Thoroughly document site specific system configurations -Assist with on-site implementation activities -Provide software application support including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and configuration of HEV products. -Identify issues and features in the HEV products which may be improved -Collect, analyze, and report customer feedback on HEV products -Proactively manage existing customer base. -Regularly interface with customers -Assist in identifying areas which may be improved in the processes and procedures related to installation and delivery of HEV products -Provides continual improvement to business processes -Other duties as necessary/assigned Minimum Requirements Requires 4-5 years of programming experience; 2-3 years of McKesson healthcare sofware application implementation and installation experience. -UNIX/Linux knowledge and support is highly preferred -Intermediate knowledge of the Windows operating system and the ability to trouble shoot installed applications -Understanding of basic networking functionality and skills (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) -Understanding of JAVA based applications is desired -Understanding of RPM packages, HL7 experience, and XML/XSLT/SVG experience is desired -Team Player -Strong organizational and communication skills -Documentation skills -Problem solving Education Bachelor's degree in computer related field or equivalent experience Physical Requirements General Office Demands Benefits Company Statement We believe you should be rewarded for the important work you do.
