Technical Implementation Engineer recruitment
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Solid Project management/implementation experience - 2-3 years. Preferably in C++ applications for financial institutions
- Demonstrated experience in business analysis – minimum experience required 2-3 years.
- Strong experience in dealing directly with clients in a pre-sales and system implementation role.
- Knowledge of financial markets and equity derivatives / Fixed Income products highly desired.
- Basic system administration, shell scripting and Perl for Unix/Linux.
- Basic database administration and SQL programming for Sybase.
- Experience in training staff in the implementation, daily use and maintenance of financial systems based on C++ on Linux/UNIX.
- An understanding of MS Windows XP, Server 2008 and Windows 7.
- Programming skills in Java Script, C#, .NET
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Project manage and engineer installation, setup and upgrades of the Imagine Trading System enterprise version, to include pilot sites.
- Assist enterprise clients in maintaining database upgrades, system configuration and environment, new releases, patch releases, and system developmental requirements
- Troubleshoot client issues and problems via email, telephone and on-site. Must be able to write/review stored procedures; assist clients with trade uploads/downloads.
- Interface with project managers, developers, Q/A, senior management, and all other client support services to ensure that enterprise client implementation requirements are met in a timely fashion.
- Provide on-site support and training on all systems as required for enterprise clients, ensuring the smooth implementation of the Imagine Trading System, as well as on-going system functionality to include on-site emergency assistance for inter-month releases, etc.
- Provide technical support to the Sales team during pre-sales meetings, negotiations and set-ups.
- Provide Business Analysis for new and potential clients to assist in the implementation of imagine - both the enterprise ITS system and the online Derivatives.com application.
- Project manage and implement new interfaces and enhancements to existing interfaces for ASP clients including trade and position files, FIX feeds, COM/Java API feeds and other interfaces as required.
- Provide support, training and consulting as needed for clients using Imagine’s connectivity suite (IOServices, ImagineXL, client side COM and Java API’s).
- Provide support, training and consulting as needed for clients using Imagine’s “ISL” (Imagine Scripting Language) functionality.
- Work closely with the Imagine software development team, in particular to achieve (9) and (10) above.
- Provide internal training and support to Imagine personnel as required on all technical aspects of the Imagine Trading System, Interfaces, Tools, etc.
- Create and keep up-to-date salesforce cases and documentation for all work carried out.
- Other duties as assigned by senior management.

- Ability to learn complex procedures/tasks quickly
- Broad-based understanding of finance and trading including equity derivatives, trading practices and associated risk strategies.
- Strong customer orientation
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
- International and domestic travel required.
- Must be willing and able to be flexible with hours of coverage
