Position Description:
The Fixed Income Electronic Trading
team develops software for
price/inventory publication, inquiry
management and straight through
processing of electronic trades with
various external electronic trading
systems such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb,
BrokerTech, Market Axess, etc. The
position involves working closely with
trading system development teams to
provide customized solutions to
individual trading desks. Work can
potentially involve Java/C++ middle tier
development, C# GUI development,
third party ION trading platform, Sybase
stored procedures and Perl scripting. The
environment is extremely high energy
and fast paced with short time-todelivery
of projects and quick thinking
required under pressure when
troubleshooting and resolving production
problems. The ideal candidate will have
at least 5 years programming experience,
be comfortable with publish-andsubscribe,
event driven, real-time
systems, be capable and happy to employ
a broad array of technical skills, have
excellent communication skills and an
eagerness to learn and grow both
technically and with fixed income
business knowledge. Knowledge of Java
and/or C++ and Unix is a plus.
