We’re looking for a talented, passionate and friendly Ruby on Rails developer to join the team and lead the development of our new product lineup. You’ll be the fourth person in the team and our technical lead, working alongside the Product Manager, design and front-end teams, as well as our kick-ass iOS, Android and Windows client team leads. You will need the experience to be solely responsible for the technical development of a pretty complex site, API andmulti-national development team.
We’re looking for someone who loves what they do, is unapologetic about their enthusiasm for the web, is active amongst the Rails community and has a proven ability to write test-driven, organized and maintainable code. You have a strong appreciation for user-centered design. You are a self-motivated worker, pragmatic decision maker, good communicator and most importantly a nice, friendly person.
Technically speaking you’ll have a proven ability to build complete Rails based web apps from start to finish. You enjoy working with Sinatra, MySQL, ruby, and can draw a new API idea on the back of a napkin. You should be able to convince the team why we should or shouldn’t be using certain technologies. Experience with Amazon, audio and video protocols would be nice. Experience building transactional e-commerce sites/apps gets you a big shiny bonus point.
