The role: Technical Lead/Manager
As a Tech Lead/Manager (TLM) you will own and drive technical projects and provide leadership for a group of 6-12 engineers in an innovative and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
This position is *not* a pure management position. As a TLM you will contribute technically to the project. Our interview process will emphasize technical skills and management/organizational skills equally.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of six to twelve software engineers, including task planning and code reviews
- Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects
- Contribute technically to projects
- Work closely with product management team to ensure we're building the best products
Minimum Qualifications:
- CS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).
- 5 years of relevant work experience, including time work towards advanced degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 years of relevant work experience, including 6 years industry experience.
- Substantial knowledge of UNIX/Linux or Windows environments.
- Strong distributed systems and architecture knowledge and experience
- Strong leader capable of motivating and energizing the very best
- Demonstrated expertise in problem solving and technical innovation.
- Excellent communication skills.
