- Represent Petroleum Additives technology to the OEMs and at industry meetings
- Advocate through publication and presentations Petroleum Additive’s position on technical and business issues
- Understand and communicate the industry drivers for new core technologies
- Drive the industry in a direction consistent with Petroleum Additive’s product line strategy and strengths and weaknesses
- Maintain a database of industry specifications
- Obtain OEM acceptance/approval of new Petroleum Additives core technologies
- Manage specific OEM related projects
- Maintain an up-to-date Global trends presentation
- Participate in business strategy development meetings
- Understand the key customer strategies to avoid conflict or explain reason for divergent positions
- Understanding of the science of lubrication as related to engines, compressors, industrial gears, hydraulic systems, and turbines
- Experience with lubrication system design, operations and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of lubricants and their lubricant additive chemistry, including testing and applications
- Excellent written and verbal skills
