Technical Manager
Tasks and responsibilities
■ To Participate in, and contribute to the asset management team;
■ Develop and implement alternative maintenance strategies;
■ Develop and maintain an optimal relation with suppliers and subcontractors to ascertain adequate support;
■To ensure availability of the Aegir in optimal condition, meeting Class conditions and operational criteria to fulfil the requirements of the organisation in a cost-efficient, effective and safe manner;
■To co-ordinate with VMT and Operations department the planning for RM and Investment programs in order to limit critical maintenance time;
■ Identify, propose and implement possibilities for continuous improvement and overall effectiveness;
■ Manage and coach the systems management team;
■ Plan and control the annual-, 2 and 3 years look-ahead budgets for RM and Investments;
■ Ensure adherence to Company policy and external party requirements;
■ Manage the daily interface between the asset and offices.
Requirements
■ Bsc in Engineering or equivalent;
■ Knowledge of Safety, Health Environment and Quality Systems;
■ Knowledge of flag state, class and certifying authorities rules and regulations;
■ Excellent people management and team building skills;
■ Knowledge of maintenance methodologies and systems related to offshore vessel and mission equipment;
■ Awareness of maritime and business legal aspects;
■ Leadership skills and business acumen;
■ Excellent communication in English.
