TITLE: Technical Package Development Engineer

LOCATION:North Carolina. About 45 minutes SW of Raleigh.

REPORTS TO: the Manager Technical Package Development .

MUST HAVE: DEGREE, 3-5 YEARS' PACKAGING DESIGN EXPERIENCE WITH GLASS, TPM, TQM, creativity

Working with the award winning Package Concept Development team, the Technical Packaging Development Department develops and executes packages that meet the required specs of Functionality, Manufacturability, Aesthetics, Safety, Innovation and Creativity and Recyclability and Sustainability. Once assigned a new product launch, this Engineer will research, trial, and implement package changes enhancing our client's ability to meet Efficiency, Cost Reduction Quality targets.

Will work collaboratively with manufacturing and quality assurance to resolve component and specification issues for existing packages and investigate package option designs. You will collaborate with operations and marketing and suppliers including travelling to NY as needed to influence outcome.

Knowledge of the industrialization processes, especially for new products, based on established success criteria.

Knowledge of TQM methodology and project management.

Understanding of Supply Chain is essential.

Strong in management and communication skills. Capable of ownership of defining new opportunities and execution. Is strong in project management and presentation skills. Delegates responsibilities ensuring priorities management and efficient resources. Must be extremely organized with excellent execution. Analyses potential savings possibilities, establishes action plans and guarantees follow-up and efficiency. Ensures timely and effective implementation of action plans. Is motivated to achieve business plans focusing on customer and consumer needs. Strong net- working skills.  Will be responsible for packaging product from concept to end product. Must possess creativity. Will be working the lab. Expectation is to hit the ground running. Must be a change champion.
