Responsibilities: The Technical Project Leader manages and controls the activities of senior professionals both internally and with our strategic partners to meet overall objectives of large projects. This position is of critical importance and has a high level of responsibility, visibility and impact. Working in this growing segment of our business you will integrate and coordinate across functional teams including Hardware and Software Engineering, System Architecture, Integration, Quality, and Documentation to facilitate the effective on-time/on-budget development and delivery of Mercury’s Systems products and Services. Serves as the primary liaison between the engineering project teams and other stakeholders; e.g. marketing, sales, operations, program management, product management, tech support and senior management.
Position has overall project responsibility of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to SSI process and procedures. Together with functional managers, assigns and monitors work of technical personnel providing support and interpretation of instructions/objectives. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Manages hardware, software, and system and services projects.

Qualifications: BSEE/BSCS or equivalent years’ experience in an Engineering discipline; Master’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Project Management, preferably in Commercial Systems Computing
Accountable for the success of assigned projects, and oversees project deliverables, intervening when necessary to adjust priorities (within budget, on schedule and meeting customer expectations) Must have ability to contribute to the development process and roll out of complex systems products. Requires some product management experience, project management skills in technical discipline, effective communication skills, proven leadership and strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with scheduling, tracking and risk management techniques and tools. Experience identifying and implementing process improvements across an organization. Knowledgeable in all phases of product development and life cycle management. Knowledgeable in OEM/ODM offerings and negotiations. Strong team building, interpersonal and personnel development skills. Regularly interacts with managers, developers and at time customers.
