One of our direct clients in Philadelphia, PA needs a Technical Project Manager with strong skills PM methodologies and proven experience in software Development for 6 month contract with possible extension thereafter
Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Job Description:
Ø Minimum 8+ years experience in a Project Management role including significant experience managing very mid to large projects and multiple, concurrent projects in the IT/Telecom Billing/Cable industry.
Ø Experience in Java development.
Ø Experience on Order Care applications/Order Management.
Ø Strong technical knowledge and exposure to development, networking, operations and database infrastructures.
o Candidate should have Advanced Level to expert level leadership and general management skills, including conflict resolution capabilities and outstanding negotiation skills.
o Candidate must be able to effectively manage scope of projects and the expectation of the project.
Ø Expert knowledge of PM methodologies, tools and techniques.
Ø Extensive experience with core PM tools including Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft Project Professional, Microsoft SharePoint, Windows SharePoint Services, Microsoft Office Professional (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Access, Power Point, etc.)
Ø Extensive experience/knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and gate parameters, and/or infrastructure project delivery.
Ø Expert–level organization and planning skills.
Ø Experienced in multiple methods of estimating time and resources for task assignments and resource leveling.
Ø Fosters a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with teams and clients (internal and external).
Ø Advanced to expert level skills in producing and delivering communications to the executive level and experience auditing projects and summarizing results and producing management reports.
Ø Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and independently; performs work effectively with minimal to no supervision.
Ø Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Operations including Network, Telecom, Voice/Video, LAN/WAN, Server Platform, Data Center, Messaging, Web technologies and architecture.
Ø Must have “can do” /”will do” attitude
Additional Technical Skills
Experience with Voice, Data, and Video technology a plus
should have excellent communication and problem solving skills
Total Experience: 10+ Years
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field.
PMP certified
