Data Centre Virtualization Technical Business Analyst/Project Manager, based in Singapore
An excellent opportunity to work for one of the world's leading financial institutions on an exciting Data Centre Optimisation programme. The programme involves the relocation of a legacy Data Centre and at the same time refreshing and consolidating aged and non-compliant IT assets.
The role is a 6 month contract offering a very attractive daily rate. Only Singaporean citizens, permanent residents or long term employment pass holders need apply.
As the programme is in its discovery phase, an experience technical project manager is required to provide analysis, scoping and technical design for the Data Centre project as a subject matter expert on virtualization. The successful candidate would have moved into project management and business analysis from a previous technical role and still be in touch with their technical skills. A strong hands on understanding of virtualization tools is absolutely essential.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in:
- Business analysis - gathering requirements, preparing business cases and providing documented methodology for virtualization servers
- Technical experience of virtualization tools: VMware, Citrix, XenApp, P2V, ESX Ranger, Perl scripts, etc
- Working with other infrastructure teams and development teams to migrate hardware and applications to different servers
- Analyzing and compiling functional and non-functional requirements and architecture
- Working with product vendors and department heads to define technology roadmaps and improve support models
- Providing expertise on system upgrades, strategic planning, infrastructure capacity planning, software development methodologies, system analysis and disaster recovery
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
- Demonstrable project management experience
