Grunley Construction Company, a general contractor located in Rockville. MD is seeking resumes for a Technical Proposal Manager.
The Preconstruction Services Technical Proposal Manager is responsible for overseeing all technical proposal services. They will manage the proposal writing team including the preconstruction staff and construction operations staff assigned to prepare the specific proposal, as well as individuals from outside organizations (i.e., architect, engineers, subcontractors, etc.) as may be required. The manager works directly with the estimating team as necessary to assure a fully compliant technical proposal and fully coordinated Technical and Price proposal. They will assist in strategic and operational planning for the company and in business development activities.
This position requires a successful record of accomplishment in all aspects of technical writing regarding General Contractor, Design-Build, and Construction Manager at Risk services including A/E design services and preconstruction and construction phase services. Applicants must have an acceptable combination of formal education at the post secondary level, college degree(s) in architecture, planning, engineering, construction management or other major considered relevant and experience; a minimum of 5 years of proposal writing experience; possess strong team building; interpersonal; decision making, problem solving, and communication and negotiating skills. Possess superior presentation and analytical skills, plus demonstrated skills to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously.
