Virtela is actively hiring a Technical Recruiter for our Greenwood Village, Colorado office (Denver Tech Center). We are looking for an experienced Technical Recruiter to be responsible for the full life cycle of the recruiting process and work with hiring managers to determine job requirements, source candidates, conduct phone screens, and coordinate interviews. The ideal candidate will be primarily focused on recruiting word class talent for all levels within the organization.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years experience in recruiting in a fast paced environment specifically for high-tech/technical positions; a minimum of 2 years experience recruiting for High Tech Industry is required.
- Experience recruiting for technical positions with specific technology backgrounds, including but not limited to, Cisco, Juniper, MPLS, VPN, Internet Access, Security Services, LAN/WAN.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Existing network of candidates is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities accordingly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Must be flexible in order to meet changing deadlines or priorities.
- General Human Resources knowledge, e.g. employment laws as relates to recruiting.
- Ability to work long hours as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
- Recruiting for both technical and non-technical positions for the Greenwood Village, CO location as well as throughout the United States.
- Aggressively source and contact passive candidates for hard to fill positions (Must be comfortable cold calling candidates at all levels.)
- Uses sourcing strategies to look for talented and diverse candidates through creative methods of mining the internet, on-line databases, social media, employee referrals, networking events, and job fairs.
- Maintains a network of contacts to identify and source qualified talent.
- Develops and maintains a pipeline of qualified candidates and keep the candidates’ level of interest to meet current and future hiring demand.
- Screen candidates for availability, interest levels, visa status, salary range, relocation needs, and basic qualifications to evaluate potential factors such as job experience, education, skills, training, organizational fit, and future potential with the Company.
- Build strong relationships with hiring managers to ensure hiring requirements are met.
- Manage scheduling and logistics for all interviews between candidates and hiring managers; including candidate travel arrangements.
- Manage and coordinate multiple recruiting activities simultaneously.
