Technical Risk Manager recruitment

It is at the forefront of financial trading systems development and has at its disposal a team of highly skilled developers, traders, analysts and a management team with a vast amount of experience in this sector.
We have an interesting opportunity for a highly technical risk manager to join the team to oversee all market risk related activities in conjunction with developing new risk strategies and approaches.
Working closely with all parts of the business, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical expertise and full understanding of market risks and systems to: develop and manage risk systems; assist in the development of new trading ideas and strategies by designing and developing associated risk measures and carrying out risk analysis; investigate and analyse new markets and new trading approaches from a risk management perspective; develop, manage and administer company risk policy; set and administer group and individual trade limits; monitor traders and trader positions, resolve any high risk issues contribute to company strategy and direction from risk management perspective.
To be considered for this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Excellent VB and Matlab or similar high level development language, proven technical skills developing own risk systems;
- Deep understanding of financial services processes, systems, products and markets.
- Strong Bachelor’s degree (Maths, IT Economics, Business Management, Finance or other related subject);
- Experience in development and management of risk systems; working in market risk, risk monitoring or trading; working within financial services;
- Strong interpersonal skills.
The role requires a high degree of flexibility and willingness to take on new and changing responsibilities as and when required.
