We are recruiting for a Technical Sales Consultant to support Fiserv's pre-sales and post-sales activities.
Summary:
The Technical Sales Consultant will participate in both pre-sales and post-sales activities. The Technical Sales Consultant is responsible for assisting during the sales qualification and acquisition phases. The Technical Sales Consultant will also assist in providing a smooth transition for prospects from sales to implementation.
Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities:
- Travel regularly throughout the US and, if necessary, internationally as required for qualified deals.
- Provide back-up and support for Consulting team when not traveling.
- Stay current with EBS products and associated technologies.
- Work with Product Management, Consulting, and Marketing Management to create customized collateral- including presentation and partner training material.
- Provide demo assistance to partners, prospects, and existing clients.
- Manage the internal RFP response process, including regular updates of responses into RFP Response Database.
In a pre-sales mode the Technical Sales Consultant will do the following:
- Work with Sales and Account Management staff to vet potential deals and create strategies for sales to qualified prospects.
- Qualify and Respond to RFP’s and other customer requests for written responses. Responses must be accurate and adhere to group or marketing standards for terminology, formatting, etc. If a partner is responding, the Technical Sales Consultant must make best effort to ensure these same standards are adhered to.
- Provide technical expertise and training on EBS products, including Online Banking (Business and Consumer), Mobile Banking, Payments, and related technologies to Sales and Engagement Management staff as well as partners.
- Present Voyager technical and product capabilities and advantages to prospects or partners.
- Review deal requirements- ensuring technical and product fit. Work with appropriate EBS support teams to devise alternative solutions when appropriate.
- Assist other Technical Sales Consultant’s and participate in a team environment for building the overall expertise of the Technical Sales Consultant group.
- Become a product expert with at least one EBS application.
- In a post-sales mode the Technical Sales Consultant will do the following:
- Assist client or partner implementations by providing general technical and business consulting as well as Corillian-specific support.
- Work with implementation team to insure mutual understanding both EBS and FI requirements.
- Be available to provide on-site assistance at FI premise if necessary.
- Act as a liaison between client, partner teams, and EBS staff (as appropriate).
- Provide client and personal feedback to the EBS Innovations team on concepts and projects they are working on.
Qualifications:
- Computer Science degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of directly related experience is required.
- Prior experience supporting partner sales and/or face-to-face customer interaction.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft and Internet Technologies and Mobile Technologies.
- Experience with security and networking including: TCP/IP, hubs/routers, SNA/MQ, etc.
- Experience within financial services.
- Self-motivated organizational, office (writing and communication, etc.) and research skills. Desire to learn new technologies quickly.
- Ability to work in team-oriented environment and without explicit day-to-day instructions (should not require micromanagement).
- Excellent English written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Programming skills, including: Microsoft Windows, SQL, .NET, Visual Studio, XML, HTML, Internet security, JavaScript, Web Services, etc. is a plus.
