Technical Sales Representative (Calgary)

Position Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for growing Micro-Watt’s sales, including the development of effective strategies to foster our relationships with major customers.  Previous sales experience is required, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector, along with training in instrumentation or a comparably technical field.   This position reports to the Sales Manager.
Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Proactively pursue business opportunities, primarily with our large Oil and Gas Customers and related Engineering firms

·         Establishing Micro-Watt as a preferred vendor

·         Fostering relationships with our customers

·         Drive growth and deliver booking goals

·         Work closely with the Sales Manager and other sales team members to ensure sales success

·         Engage all aspects of Micro-Watt’s principals to ensure customer satisfaction and preference

·         Report on a timely basis, and within parameters of our CRM package, continue progress in developing our accounts

·         Comply and participate in the continuous improvement of the Company’s Health and Safety programs

·         Any other related responsibilities not detailed here but that could be reasonably expected.

Qualifications:

Education:                                                                                                      

·         Relevant post-secondary technical education, preferably in an engineering or instrumentation field.

Experience:

·         2 plus years experience in instrumentation sales including:  flow and level measurement, SCADA, safety systems and flame and gas detection.

·         Successful track record of Large Account Management with Canada’s major Oil and Gas companies as asset

·         Product knowledge is an asset.

·         Strong presentation skills

·         Well developed organizational and strategic abilities

·         Strong team player

·         Entrepreneurial work ethic
