Position Overview
We are currently seeking an energetic customer service-oriented Technical Sales Representative to join our dynamic team and be responsible for front-line customer contact. The successful candidate will have previous sales and customer service experience to be able to manage key customer order fulfillment activities in a professional and timely manner.
This full-time permanent position will be based in Calgary, Alberta.
In this role you will:
· Develop a broad and detailed knowledge of the overall market needs as related to the Oil Sands to support company growth initiatives and objectives and continuous product and services success.
- Work with Technology, Research and Development to develop and implement product “road map” to achieve planned revenue from new products and market segments
- Identify and perform preliminary research on potential acquisition targets in the Oil Sands and related markets.
- Establish and maintain contacts/communications with Oil Sands related customers.
- Assist in development of regional forecasting and business planning
- Provide technical support as required to all ShawCor Oil Sands customers.
- Responsible for analysis and resolution of both technical and non-technical complaints from customers.
- Review and comment on Shaw product specifications.
- Promoting the technical advantages of Shaw applied coatings.
Qualifications, Skills, Experience:
· Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Engineering or Economics;
· 1-2 years previous pipeline industry experience
· 3-5 years of sales/business development and/or product marketing experience
· Proven ability to work within a fast-paced, dynamic/changing priority environment while keeping a customer orientated focus
· Possess strong communication skills (verbal, presentation and written)
· Good negotiation skills and strong ability to influence and motivate action in others
· Have an understanding of brand building concepts and product promotion
· Well-honed organizational and time management skills
Assets:
Knowledge and experience in pipe coating and linings.
