Carlisle Coatings Waterproofing, a leading manufacturer in waterproofing technology, has an immediate opening for a Technical Sales Representative. The person in this position will be expected to facilitate the sale of CCW air barrier products by providing project-specific support to customers. They will review project specifications, drawings and mock-up construction to assure appropriateness of product selection and use. The candidate will work with the Technical Services department to draft project specific shop drawings and instructions. They will assist installers and sales representatives in completing submittals, product substitution requests and support necessary support to win sales on specific projects. They will work with other CCM departments to coordinate project support required for the interface of CCW air barrier with other components, such as roofing, insulation and waterproofing. The candidate will travel with the sales force and deliver educational presentations to Construction Professionals, such as architects, consultants, contractors, owners, etc. They will develop and execute training programs including product knowledge, continuing education programs, and programs for proper installation of CCW's air barrier product line.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5 years related experience. Professional accreditation from organizations such as CSI, AIA and RCI are preferred, as well as being a registered architect. Candidate must be personable and presentable with excellent communication skills, particularly on technical matters. They must be comfortable in writing lettesr, speaking on the phone to customers and co-workers, participating in jobsite meetings and delivering training and presentations in informal and semi-formal settings. The candidate needs to know what to say, and what NOT to say in these settings. The content and delivery of the candidate's communication must convey competence.
Must be willing to travel over night up to 50% of time.
