Technical Sales  (Pre-Sale / Prospect Agendas)

Based London (with some global travel)

The Sales Development Specialist plays a critical role in the preparation and transition of prospect to client. Through extensive interaction with prospects, this role is also responsible for identifying future product and service requirements that are not currently part of the GWS service offering.

Responsibilities:

•  Leading prospect due diligence activities and service gap analysis

•  Conduct services demonstrations

•  Support prospect sales meetings

•  Client requirements gathering

•  Participate in Service Definition development

•  Participate in operating model and service design sessions

•  Project management

The individual will provide front line technical support for the sales team by demonstrating an excellent understanding of the advice investment process, from client acquisition through to dealing, settlement and custody. The individual will be able to quickly demonstrate a strong knowledge of SEI’s solutions and services, and be able to relate these to the business models of prospects, identifying areas for change and improvement.

The sales development specialist will lead key phases of the sales process, organizing resources and working with prospective clients to produce a target operating model and identify gaps and solutions.

This individual will primarily act as support for the UK/Europe GWS sales team and will work closely with the Services team. The position will involve travel to prospects in the UK and some international travel.

The ideal candidate will have:

•  Initial focus will be on UK wealth managers, typically private client managers, financial advisers. In line with this focus, a strong knowledge of UK tax wrappers (e.g. SIPPS, Bonds, ISA etc), WRAP platforms, financial planning tools and regulatory requirements would be an advantage.

•  Detailed knowledge of Investment Products, Tax Wrappers and securities

•  Good knowledge of Financial Services and Investment Technology Industries

•  Solid experience working in operational / back office areas

•  Extensive knowledge of UK markets, including specific products and services, and the local regulatory environment

•  Extensive knowledge of the operational processes performed in support of UK specific products and services

•  Demonstrated ability to incorporate sales force feedback and functional product information to create and execute innovative sales and marketing communications that support a standardized sales process

•  Strong communication skills, both oral and written

•  Strong inter-personal skills and ability to support varied and demanding internal and external clients

•  Strong organizational ability

•  Strong Project Management skills

•  Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams

•  Self Confidence, self motivation and an orientation toward working in teams are essential

•  Been able to display drive, tenacity and intellectual firepower

•  Ideally the candidate will be degree educated
