Technical Services Analyst (L1 Support) – Trading Technology Firm recruitment
Our client is a globally recognised electronic trading technology provider with a strong focus on OTC financial instruments, specifically FX, Interest Rate Derivatives and futures. They are currently looking to fill three positions within their Frankfurt office on their Technical Support Team; they require Technical Service Analysts to join an existing team of dedicated technology focused analysts to work underneath the Head of Support for the firm. Based on its proprietary core technology, the platform offers deep liquidity of more than 100 global market makers used by over 800 client organizations worldwide including across Europe, America and Asia-Pacific with subsidiaries in New York, Singapore, Dubai and Mumbai – so the role will involve heavy communicating with colleagues internationally.
Although the role as a lot of client-facing responsibilities, it is essentially a technical role; this team is critical to the businesses performance giving it a high-profile reputation. They provide 24x5 1st level support and forms the primary point of contact for external customers for technical issues, support account managers and the business support team to bring new customers live and resolve technical issues with their Java-based client software, resolve problems related to either technical issues or business workflows during the initial telephone call or effectively manage the escalation process for any incidents that cannot be resolved immediately and investigate and manage trading problems.
The profiles filling these roles will have experience in a technical client-facing role, have a solid understanding of software/trading applications and experience with:-
• Solid experience in 1st line support
• Networking (Citrix, TCP/IP etc...)
• Linux/Unix (Basic commands)
• Troubleshooting
• Java plug-ins/log-ins
• Working within a client-facing role
• Experience working within a financial institution is desirable
Excellent communication skills in English is essential, fluency with German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish or French is also desirable. Our client will only consider candidates who are interested in a support role and who will be happy developing their career in support within the firm.
