Summary

As a self sufficient, hands on Technical Services Engineer, you will provide our customers, suppliers and sales force necessary technical information regarding the manufacture and use of Barrday composite prepreg materials in support of the market. Your expertise in Barrday product and processing knowledge will differentiate us from competition and will facilitate sales objectives. Managing customer and supplier relations is integral to your responsibilities. Applications development and identifying new business opportunities are key objectives as well as product development to meet key market needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Product and Process Specialist

Service Immediate Customer needs

Application Development/ Product Design

New Product Introductions

New Fiber/Fabric/ Finish Evaluation

New Resin and Resin Component Evaluation

Customer/Supplier/Vendor Relations

Identify New Product Opportunities

Commercialization Process/ Transfer Meetings

Competition Specialists (products capabilities)

Product Testing/Quality

Project Management as required

Contribute to company committees or initiatives as needed

Travel will be required as part of this position

Other duties maybe assigned

 

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering combined with competency in advanced composites with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Master’s degree a plus

Demonstrated skills in composite engineering and ability to provide technical service to customers

Expertise in product development and processes.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proven ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables

Self Starter with problem solving skills         

Great attention to detail
