Millennium coal mine is located near the town of Moranbah in the Bowen Basin. Mining commenced in May 2006 at a rate of 1.5 million tonnes a year. The continued expansion of Millennium calls for an experienced professional Technical Services Manager to join the small team on site.
Reporting to the General Manager, and an integral member of the Site Senior Management Team, the position will be responsible for developing and maintaining mine design and plans to enable effective recovery of coal reserves. You will also develop and lead a team of mining professionals in providing engineering, technical and environmental services to support production activities and foster continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience in planning and cost management, proven ability to effectively manage contractors, working knowledge of open cut coal operations and excellent leadership and staff development skills.
