THE REQUIREMENTS * Provides technical support of industrial automation and control products to customer and Graybar personnel. * Specifies products to meet customer requirements and needs, recommends inventory of automation products, and provides pricing and quotations to customers. * Informs sales staff and customers of new developments in automation and related products technology. * Provides technical services to customers for the use or operation and maintenance of automation equipment. * Provide internal and customer training of automation products and services and train sales staff on the technical aspects of automation products, drives, and related products. * Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, Automation Control, Robotics, or equivalent study; or, equivalent experience preferred. Experience: This is an entry-level position. One to two years experience preferred. Knowledge: Understand basic motor control. Proficient in PLCs, their functions and communication abilities. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in the application of engineering principles to the solution of difficult tasks. Ability to clearly present complex data to non-technical staff. Ability to make oral and written presentations to internal and external contacts. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel to evaluate customer needs.
