JOB DESCRIPTION:

Technical Specialist on the DataScope Equities Team. Role involves analysis, design, code and unit test of Java components and Oracle Packages/triggers to support the addition of new functionality and service upgrades of the Datascope Equities product.
• Lead requirements review of the business need and expected functionality,
• Develop the code design and review with peers.
• Produce high quality, maintainable software that performs at required levels in a 24 x7 data processing environment,
• Support other programmers with the development tasks,
• Work with large relational databases, data feed processing, data transformation, high performance data throughput and synchronization
• Knowledge of multi-threading and multi-processing under Solaris a plus.
• Produce and implement test plans, record results, update tracker and
• Contribute to the writing of documentation and release notes in conformance with company standards.

Skills

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Please provide the following information:
• Minimum experience - 3 years Java experience working with infrastructure and databases. Oracle SQL development, Unix scripting, a plus, Financial experience a plus
• Educational Requirements - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related Science or Engineering degree. Masters preferred.
Technical and/or Functional skills - Java, OO concepts, multithreading and synchronization,
XML DOM/SAX Parsers, Oracle SQL Development (10g), Unix scripting, Oracle Developer, ETL
