Technical Support Analyst

Required Skills:

5+ years Websphere Administration and technical support.

Websphere performance tuning.

WebSphere MQ and Message Broker knowledge and troubleshooting experience.

UNIX Shell Scripting

Experience in deploying JVMs (Java Virtual Machines).

Self starter and ability to work with a minimum of supervision and as a team player.

Ability to effectively communicate with a broad-cross section of people in the business and technical community.

Role:

Set up and support for the Websphere platform for the enterprise.

Environment set up and support for Websphere JVMs.

Participate in all projects related to the implementation of new applications running on the Websphere platform.

Plan, schedule, manage and track support, maintenance and enhancement activities for the Websphere platform.

Monitor the availability of the Websphere Application Servers and Websphere Portal infrastructure to ensure that high availability is achieved.

Carry out performance tuning and optimization for the Websphere environment.

Coordinate the implementation, planning and execution of the DR strategy.
