Scope of Position

Major responsibilities for this position include supporting developers from other companies who are integrating with our innovative system and creating tools to assist in troubleshooting and developing systems to enable proactive support.

Qualifications / Necessary Skills
Candidates must meet all or most of the following requirements:

-Highly adaptable to different technical environments
-Very strong design and implementation skills in distributed, multi-threaded system software development requiring 5+ years of experience or equivalent depth
-Solid Java/J2EE programming skills and Object Oriented/Design Pattern knowledge
-Experience with system design and implementation in high availability/failover, and clustering solutions
-Extensive experience building Web based application. Having working knowledge in J2EE/Java Web applications, Dynamic HTML, JSP, HTTP, Usability, and User Interface design
-Solid SQL/Relational Database programming and design with MySQL
-Solid Windows development environments experience
-Experience in WebServices (WSDL), Advanced XML, SOAP, XLST, DOM/SAX parsers
-Experience with Perforce, Clearcase and general software configuration management (SCM) best practices
-Experience with iterative development processes, such as, Agile, and Scrum

Desirable Qualifications

-Strong experience with both VOIP, specifically the SIP protocol and general PSTN Telephony
-Enterprise Software, and/or Carrier grade solution experience
-Experience with Speech Recognition (Nuance)
-Practice good teamwork skills and positive attitude
-React quickly, and calmly/maturely to change 
-Value responsibility for ongoing unit test development and producing high quality robust solutions
-Able to clearly document and capture design information in a concise manner
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Strong time management skills
-Demonstrated ability to be effective in a dynamic, fast paced environment

Education, Skills and Experience
Educational Requirements
-BS, MS in Computer Science or related field of education desired
