Findlay Irvine is an established engineering company supplying electro-mechanical equipment and Internet based information services. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to help provide our customers with a broad range of technical support.
Our products incorporate mechanical, electronic and software elements and you will be trained to become an expert in all aspects of our products.
Your responsibilities will include providing customer support by email and telephone, providing training and commissioning for products, type testing of products before release, creating technical documentation, working closely with engineering development staff to communicate customer needs and to influence new designs for maximum user-friendliness. This job will involve some travel both in the UK and abroad.
You will have a formal qualification to HND level or above in an engineering discipline, or will have substantial industrial electro-mechanical engineering experience. You will be familiar working with electronic and light mechanical products and you will have excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills. You will have excellent communication and customer facing skills and be comfortable talking customers through problems and also conducting customer training sessions.
