Technical Support Engineer
A Technical Support Engineer who has a background in providing outstanding customer service within a technical environment is required by our client in Reading to join their 1st Line / 2nd Line support team.
As a Technical Support Engineer you will be joining our client, a global online payments solutions provider based in fantastic offices at Thames Valley Park, Reading. This is the perfect position for a bright and upbeat Customer Service professional who is looking to further a career in a Technical and Customer Service environment.
This position will provide the successful Technical Support Engineer with an exciting and varied role, working for an innovative payments provider who are now owned by a global giant but still remain autonomous.
Core responsibilities as a Technical Support Engineer:
- Fielding Customer Support Tickets from Customers within EMEA region via email and phone
- Troubleshooting technical issues from clients and provide resolutions
- Liaising with international technical teams to report on issues and maintain relationships with mid and upper tier merchants
- Working with Account Managers and Senior Management team to provide optimal service to clients
- Answering internal enquiries of a technical and account related nature
Core skills:
- 18 Months – 2 years’ experience in a Customer Service role within a technical environment
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Good skills in Excel or Access
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and an ability to work under pressure
- Educated to a degree level
