Technical Support Manager– Leading Trading Technology Firm – Frankfurt recruitment

Our client is a globally recognised electronic trading technology provider with a strong focus on OTC financial instruments, specifically FX, Interest Rate Derivatives and futures. Due to the expansion of the Technical Support team, my client is looking for a Technical Support Manager to oversee an existing team of dedicated technology focused analysts, working underneath the Head of Support for the firm. Based on its proprietary core technology, the platform offers deep liquidity of more than 100 global market makers used by over 800 client organizations worldwide including across Europe, America and Asia-Pacific with subsidiaries in New York, Singapore, Dubai and Mumbai – so the role will involve heavy communicating with colleagues internationally.

The role will involve working alongside the Head of Support leading a fast-paced global team who provide 1st level support and are the main point of contact for supporting all of the firm’s technology. Although the role will involve management responsibilities, it is still a hands-on role and will also involve tasks such as managing proactive maintenance tasks and preventive monitoring, planning and management of customer/client rollouts, upgrades and migrations, managing customer relationships with regards to technical issues, driving training and development for the team globally (NYC and Singapore) and working closely with the Account Management and Sales teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a technical client-facing role, have a solid understanding of software/trading applications and also the following experience/skills:-

BSc/MSc in a Computing/Engineering/Business Administration aligned subject or an MBA

• Excellent organisational, communication, leadership and customer service skills

Experience in training staff and giving presentations

• Expert knowledge of ITIL V3 and a track record in reviewing and judging processes and process documentation

• Java plug-ins/log-ins

• Networking (Citrix, TCP/IP etc...)

• Troubleshooting

• Working within a client-facing role, having mentored/managed staff

• Problem configuration.

Excellent communication skills in English is essential, fluency with German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish or French is also desirable.
