Technical Support Representative Job in Ann Arbor 48108, Michigan US
Drew Technologies seeks a fulltime technical support specialist to answer customer questions and help technicians over the phone using our products. Any qualified applicant will be considered.
The selected candidate will provide telephone and email support for Windows-based automotive products. Key support areas will include: product installation, device drivers, internet connectivity, antivirus configuration, networking, and application troubleshooting. Experience with Windows 2000, XP, and windows 7 are required. Experience with automotive repair and/or technology is preferred.
Job Description:
- Fielding inbound phone calls and emails from customers and potential customers
- Providing technical support and helping new customers with product installation when needed
- Providing technical support for Windows PC’s including operating system configuration
- Taking and filling customer orders as needed
- Selling aftermarket tools over the phone to end users and businesses (B2B).
- Contributing to the Drew Tech Team by meeting or exceeding individual and company goals
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of technical experience with computers is desired
- 2-5 years of personal or professional automotive experience is desired
- Understanding of how an internal combustion engine works
- Ability to reinstall Windows operating system on blank hard drive
- Strong written and oral communication
- Self motivated and fast paced individual with serious work ethic
- Solid Knowledge of computers skills
- Experience with customer service and working with customer issues
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Professional phone skills / Good decision maker
- Experience with video and web editing software a plus
- Desire for ongoing improvement and education
