JOB DESCRIPTION:
- SYSTEM TESTING:
- Executes different test procedures
- Troubleshoot technical issues using HUB reference equipment
- Performs HW and SW configuration
- Helps maintain HUB reference equipment
- HELP DESK CUSTOMER SUPPORT:
- Responds to ticket incidents
- Chat with customers to help identify and troubleshoot technical issues
- Responds to emergency phone calls to collect report of major technical issues
- FIELD SUPPORT:
- Performs VSAT and HUB equipment installation at customer premises
- Performs HW and SW upgrades at customer premises
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working towards undergrad in EE, Telecommunications or Computer Sciences
- Excellent knowledge of IP Networking
- Some experience with switching and routing devices (e.g. Cisco router, Firewall, Catalyst Switch, Juniper)
- Good experience in Windows and Linux servers
- Good knowledge of PHP scripting languages
- Good knowledge of high-level programming languages (e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby)
- Some familiarity with satellite technologies (e.g. TDM/TDMA VSAT, DVB RCS, SCPC Modems)
- Some familiarity with QoS protocols and related technologies, equipment (e.g. NetEnforcer, PacketShaper), applications
- Familiar with debugging and data collection applications: MIB browser, Wireshark, iperf, use of telnet, ssh
- Familiar with test and analyzer equipments (e.g. Spectrum Analyzer, Network and Protocol Analyzer)
- Good technical problem-solving skills
- Independent and result-driven
- Good team player willing to work in a multi-cultural work environment
- Self motivated, well-organized individual who can prioritize work and handle multiple tasks
- Strong verbal and English written communication
- Proper documentation to work in the U.S.
