Salary - £23,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a company which is well established and well respected food manufacturing business as a Senior Technical Support / Senior QA.

In this role Senior Technical / Senior QA you will be responsible for

• Encouraging best practice by example and working towards the achievement of the site's overall objectives and standards, meeting commitments, setting accurate schedules and maintaining costs and resources.
• Ensuring product safety and quality standards are met and exceeded
• Enforcing of GMP standards
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant internal external standards legislation, BRC, HACCP, Allergen Controls
• Provide training and guidance to operational staff.
• Support of a continuous quality improvement culture
• Managing of customer / third party audits, factory trials and visits
• Carrying out of internal audits (QMS, Hygiene, Glass, traceability)
• Complaints investigations / troubleshooting
Provide additional cover as required, including deputising for other members of the technical team

In order to fulfil this role it would be advantageous if you hold an Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate, a HACCP qualification, an Internal Auditors qualification and ideally experience working with high care food products within in-flight meals. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential for this role as is being IT literate.
