Technical Support Specialist Job in Addlestone KT15 2HJ, Southern UK
TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST required for Cochlear Europe Ltd a global multi national company and dominant market leader in implantable hearing solutions. To support our rapidly expanding European €100mb operations. An excellent opportunity has arisen within our UK team to provide direct support for our UK and Ireland Cochlear implant customers and sales team.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with extensive experience in a engineering or IT based field. Medical/hearing experience would be advabtageous but not essential. Full training will be provided for successful integration into this role. The purpose of this role is to provide direct technical support in the field to Cochlear Implant (CI) accounts and CI Business Managers, to grow the customer satisfaction of CI and increase guidance and support in the field. The main responsibilities include:
- Technical Support
- Training
- Testing
- Software support and validation
Key skills/experience:
- University Degree – in engineering/IT or relevant subject
- High level of computer literacy in a variety of applications, including knowledge of network and database administration
- A practical, engineering skill set
- The ability to work within a geographically dispersed team
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- A sensitive and diplomatic approach
- Good written skills
- Confident presenter with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical employees
