Responsibilities and prospects for Technical Support Specialist include: Provide sales and technical support to external sales staff, support staff, distributors, engineers, contractors and end-users Promptly respond to requests for technical information, product information and proposal Provide recommendations on product selection and system design Write bid specifications for new projects, and put together submittal packages to meet general bid specifications Ensure product literature and documentation are accurate and consistent with the current price lists Partner with Segment Manager to develop product lines and set pricing to meet market requirements Routinely advise production on the technical aspects of product lines Maintain a thorough knowledge of the industry requirements and governmental regulations related to the sale, operation and service of this technology Monitor inventory levels to provide feedback to sales staff on lead times and sales history Respond to requests for order status updates and shipping information Coordinate with production to accurately estimate lead times Request freight quotes from shipping department Manage authorization process for returned goods Education and experience for Technical Support Specialist include: Associate technical degree or equivalent from two-year college; Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred 3-5+ years of experience in the design of vehicle exhaust systems or similar systems Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, CRM, Excel, Word and Outlook Software Basic skills in AutoCAD Design Software Must have customer service skills Must have a strong mechanical aptitude Ability to layout and design pipe systems in CAD software For immediate consideration, apply now or refer a friend by forwarding this job.
