Technical Support/Customer Service Representative Job in Las Vegas 89119, Nevada Us
Sable Systems International is looking for an experienced Customer Support Representative in the Las Vegas, NV area. This position will act as first tier support for customers contacting our Las Vegas, NV offices for assistance with electronic laboratory instrumentation and software. This position reports to the Technical Support Manager. Independent worker with strong communication and organizational skills are a must.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
· Able to handle customer support inquiries over the telephone and via email.
· Answer questions from customers and prospective customers about the features and capabilities of our products.
· Perform basic troubleshooting by conferring with users, and conducting diagnostics as needed to investigate and resolve problems and provide technical assistance.
· Document reported issues including actions suggested to address problems reported.
· Handle record keeping routing of items returned for repair and/or calibration.
· Communicate customer needs and wishes to Technical Support Manager as they are received.
Skills and Competencies
· Previous experience in customer support
· Strong PC skills (some troubleshooting ability a plus)
· Hardware Software installation experience in Windows (XP, Vista, 7, etc.)
· Excellent Verbal Written communications skills
· Strong people skills
· A science/engineering background is preferred
· Experience with laboratory electronic instrumentation
· Basic electronics knowledge/experience a plus, but not required
· Experience with international customers a plus, but not required
Education
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, physics or engineering or equivalent work experience
