Technical Trainer Leader Job in Alexandria, Virginia US
- Designs and develops technical training curriculum and programs, both on-site and on-line, for employees on various software and/or hardware applications and systems. Works with applicable business unit/area to establish content, prerequisite skills and knowledge for trainees. Ensures that training courses address all levels of employee.
- Researches, designs and develops technical and user manuals to support training. Works with engineering, technical support, and/or applicable area to ensure that material is accurate and reflects current product features.
- Conducts advanced level training courses, both on-site and on-line, for highly complex applications and systems to include lectures and hands-on sessions.
- Works with business units/technical areas to conduct needs assessments to ensure training needs are met.
- Reviews and analyzes course evaluations to determine effectiveness of training sessions. Implements revisions to course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness.
- Reviews external training programs to determine feasibility of purchase. Delivers pilot (alpha and beta) classes, tests and evaluates curriculum, makes recommendations as appropriate.
- Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
- Keeps informed of and maintains proficiency with company products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, engineering or related field preferred
- Seven or more years of technical training experience
- Experience working with company software, systems, applications and network products
- Experience working with communications practices, principles and procedures for both on-site and on-line presentations
- Extensive knowledge of Army business processes in general and Army Materiel Command in particular in the areas of procure to pay, funds management, and reimbursable operations coupled with a working knowledge of SAP.
- Overseas experience in Army operations especially in Korea and Japan would be desirable.
- The ability to apply the knowledge in reviewing the SI's functional designs to ensure they meet the Army's needs.
- Extensive knowledge of GFEBS is highly desired coupled with the ability to share that knowledge and the knowledge of Army business processes while acting as an over the shoulder helper and trainer while on site of GFEBS users at various locations.
- Certified Defense Financial Manager is desirable but not required
