Posted Position Title: Technical Training Advisor Career Level: Experienced Function Engineering/Technology Function Segment: Product Design and Development Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces: Texas City: Houston Postal Code: 77041-8200 Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose: The Technical Training Advisor will be responsible of supporting the Chief Engineering Office in the Technical Training activities for the Engineering Organization. In this role, you will develop technical trainings on the basis of business needs and keep updated the Technical Training Material already available. You will also support the Edison Engineering Development Program in activities related to A-Course, Mechanical Design Fundamentals Training, B-Course and Rotational assignments. Essential Responsibilities - Work with Chief Engineering Office to assess learning and development gaps and support strategy for training and development - Identify, create and deliver new training content on the basis of business needs - Keep update and improve the Technical Training Material already available - Ensure the content and delivery of training materials are appropriately tailored to the specific audience (regional and local country considerations) - Enhance effective utilization of distance learning techniques to reach broad employee base - Support measurement and analytics of training effectiveness, reporting on the status of execution - Identify Subject Matter Experts (SME) to author and present training material - Work with ACE (Advanced Courses in Engineering) Leader to improve and create training material (lectures and homework) for the A-Course and Mechanical Design Fundamentals Training - Support in selecting qualified technical experts as course instructors and, if needed deliver the training in class - Support instructors in the Homework Grading activities - Check quality of rotational assignments for Edison Engineers Qualifications/Requirements: - Master Degree in Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Control, and Aeronautical) - Minimum 2 years of experience in technical training and development - Minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering or technical environment Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
