Position Summary

As a member of our global Product Training team, you will design and build a cutting-edge training curriculum to address the growing NSi AutoStore customer and partner communities for our Americas markets.  As a curriculum developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing classroom and online courses for our employees, partners, and developer community.  You will work with subject-matter experts across the company to build courses that meet clearly defined learning objectives, reach multiple audiences, take advantage of learning technologies, and build powerful learning solutions that combine solid design, rapid development, and creative delivery.

This person reports to the Vice President of Marketing.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Collaborate with other Training team members to develop and deliver a comprehensive curriculum for in-person classroom instruction as well as on-demand instruction via the web

·         Become a subject matter expert in the NSi AutoStore platform and associated products with in-depth knowledge of the deployment of best practices, configuration development and more

·         Produce, schedule and deliver quality course material including: design documents, student materials, presentation slides, instructor guides, job aids, lab instructions and workbooks, assessments and certification questions, lab setup guides and course descriptions

·         Facilitate the translation of curriculum and support materials to various local languages as deemed necessary by the business

·         Publish eLearning materials to the Company’s Adobe Connect eLearning platform and administer this virtual classroom infrastructure

·         Collaborate with other subject matter experts and the product management team to build appropriate course and lab material including code samples and functional workflow configurations

 

Additional Responsibilities

·         Manage outside vendors as required for the production of training materials

·         Up to 50% travel in the US and Canada

 

Skills/Experience

                Required:

·         Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required; B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS preferred

·         At least 5 years of curriculum development experience with at least 2 years of hands-on experience focused on building Help or Training content for enterprise software applications

·         Experience managing course development projects including scoping resource and timeline requirements and driving project plans

·         Ability to perform all phases of curriculum development (research, planning, writing, organizing, managing, review cycles)

·         Track record of innovation in developing training solutions with a portfolio of projects for various audiences

·         Record of effective collaboration in working with product development organizations, as well as internal technical support, consulting and other customer facing resources

·         Virtual (instructor led, web based) classroom course development and delivery

·         Solid understanding of business process management/ automation techniques, best practices

·         Previous experience working with language translation services

·         Proven ability to meet project timelines with quality results

·         Rapid Development eLearning tools (Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Presenter)

·         Use of standard publishing tools (Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.)

·         Fluency in English

 

Preferred:

·         Course Management System experience (Moodle, Adobe Connect)

·         Experience with structured writing techniques and modular content development processes preferred

·         Document capture and/ or enterprise content management experience

·         Working knowledge of software development IDEs and languages including: .Net, VB Script, etc.

·         French, Portuguese, or Spanish written and spoken skills a plus
