Technical Writer recruitment

These tools transform vast amounts of financial data and knowledge into applied insight to manage credit. Specifically, our clients use our portfolio and valuation framework in their organizations for Economic Capital requirements, Risk Management and monitoring and reporting functions.
Our growing team of Technical Writers is looking for a suitably quallified candidate to:
- Write end-user, administrator, installation, and integration documentation
- Work closely with product management and software engineering staff to develop internal and external documentation
- Create FAQs, technical white papers, and other miscellaneous support documents
- Create flowcharts and diagrams
- Work with engineering to create meaningful system messages for the user interface
- Collaborate with members of cross-functional teams
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Background in software engineering
- Background in finance
- Understanding of Agile development processes/SCRUM
- Working knowledge of HTML,XML and JavaScript
- Working knowledge of Webworks ePublisher Pro, RoboHelp, or MadCap Flare
- Experience with Perforce or other source control systems
- Experience writing API documentation
- Experience with the localization process
- Familiarity with user interface design, and a desire to participate in the design process
Key Tech and Non-Tech Skills
- 5+ years commercial software technical writing experience
- Command of written English; preferably familiar with American usage
- Ability to analyze documentation needs and complete projects with little direction
- Ability to build rapport with busy engineers
- Experience with FrameMaker and Word
- Experience with online Help development BA/BS, preferably in either a technical field (CS, Engineering, Finance, etc.) or a writing-related discipline
- Strong technical skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle changing priorities
