We are currently looking for a Technical Writer to join us.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, edit, publish, and maintain product documentation and related materials for web-based financial software applications.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of InvestorForce’s products, features, benefits, and application within the institutional consultant environment and leverage this understanding to inform the development and prioritization of documentation.
- Develop and maintain frameworks such as style guides and templates to ensure consistency across all documentation.
- Accelerate the client on-boarding process by creating and maintaining easy-to-understand training materials.
- Enhance clients’ perceptions of InvestorForce by maintaining our service-oriented culture and representing clients’ voices throughout the company.
- Work collaboratively with all areas of InvestorForce, including Client Service, Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Development.
Candidate Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Must Have
- Minimum of two years’ full-time professional experience, ideally in a documentation or technical writing role in institutional investment consulting, financial services, asset management, or technology.
- Excellent Written Communication skills, specifically: organized, concise, and clear writing style; ability to translate technical concepts into language accessible by mainstream software users; and awareness of how to leverage the communication method and tone appropriate to the context.
- Planning and Organization skills, specifically: marshaling resources; documenting and simplifying complex tasks; and orchestrating multiple projects at one time.
- Subject Matter interest, specifically: strong interest in the application of technology to solve professional challenges.
- Expert knowledge of MS Office tools and strong familiarity with standard documentation tools such as Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, technical communication, business, or a related subject with an emphasis on writing.
Nice to Have

Experience writing a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for
documentation accessible to a wide range of users. - Experience with the InvestorForce platform or another commercially available institutional investment performance reporting system.
- Familiarity with a variety of financial concepts, practices, and markets.
- A FINRA/NASD license (e.g., Series 6, 7, 63, etc.).
