POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides and documents preventive and corrective maintenance on biomedical equipment. Complies with UHS and departmental policies and procedures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.A.) in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Technology from a two-year college, technical school or equivalent experience is required. One year experience in a hospital biomedical engineering department or full service biomedical equipment service company is preferred. Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or four years experience in a hospital biomedical engineering department or full service biomedical equipment-servicing company is preferred.
