Role Summary:

The role requires a person to be able to perform many different aspects of the production processes focusing mainly on new products. Working with the manufacturing engineering team new processes will be documented and low volumes of parts produced.

To ensure that customer requirements are met to a demanding schedule.

To work with the Manufacturing Engineering department to ensure that designated areas are maintained in good working order so to minimise non-productive periods due to equipment failure and contamination.

1. Prepare tools for process
2. Mix and prepare resins
3. Operate machines to produce composite material to required design parameters
4. Programme machines and ovens for process
5. Strip down machines and tooling to clean and prepare as required for each process
6. Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times and observe good housekeeping practices
7. Manage and maintain appropriate levels of raw material and finished goods stock.
8. Manage and be responsible for the QA procedures for production
9. Proactively write and modify Standard Operating procedures in accordance with company standards to allow others to follow a new process.
10. To work at all times within the requirements of the CoSHH and company safety regulations and ensure a high level of housekeeping.
11. Any other tasks as prescribed by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

1. Ability to work efficiently and effectively so that production throughput is maximised (measured by delivery against agreed date on the production schedules)
2. Adherence to required quality procedures (measured by non-conformance reports from the Quality Team)
3. Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in work area (as defined by the operating work instructions for the facility).
4. Good communication skills
5. Work unsupervised for prolonged periods
6. Evidence of practical dexterity and mechanical sympathy
7. Ability to work to standards and specific instructions
8. Ability to identify and to question sub-standard process/product
9. PC Literate, MS word and excel.
10. Problem solving techniques and ability to work on own initiative. (Logical and systematic approach)
11. Flexibility and willing to learn new skills
12. Ability to understand and to follow the process from beginning to end
